Flisadam Pointer
Music journalist, arts advocate, and educator, Flisadam Pointer's mission is to shine a light on the Black entertainers. Marrying her passion for storytelling and education, in 2020 she quietly launched Pointer Publishing, whose mission is to educate the younger reader on the rich history of Black performers across disciplines.
The company’s first release, Sweet Sounds: The ABCs of Black Women in Music is aimed at younger readers. The book simultaneously teaches younger readers the alphabet, colors, and music history.
